Ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, several coaching positions in the AFC Bournemouth academy have been updated.

Amongst the changes, roles have been updated across the development squad, under-18s and younger age groups.

Development squad manager Alan Connell will now be assisted by former youth development coach Tom Prodomo.

The duo will be in the dugout for this evening's development squad friendly away to Poole Town, which supporters are able to attend.

Connell’s former assistant, James Lowy, has now stepped into the under-18s lead coach position.

Retired midfielder Andrew Surman remains as the under-18s assistant coach, supporting Lowy.

Further academy coaching appointments:

  • Dan Carroll – Lead youth development phase coach (U13-16)
  • Elliot Head – Foundation phase lead coach (U9-12)
  • John Scott – Lead foundation coach (U9 & U10)

The club is also currently in the process of recruiting two further youth development coaches.
