Mark Travers rose highest to score a stunning Strategic Solutions Goal of the Month winner for May.
Despite stiff competition there was little doubting that the goalkeeper's crowning headed effort in the Hampshire Senior Cup final win over Eastleigh would claim the award.
The 22-year-old had already saved a penalty in the showpiece event last month, but with the Cherries 2-1 in the closing moments he pushed forwards after his side won a late corner.
Countryman Gavin Kilkenny's set piece was on point and the 'keeper met the ball and thumped home his header to send the final to extra time - later saving once more in the shootout as AFC Bournemouth claimed the silverware.
Gathering 63% of the vote, Travers finished ahead of Arnaut Danjuma's first-leg Brentford goal (21%), the Dutchman's effort in the return (12%) and Kilkenny's free-kick in the same county final (4%).
With Travers currently away with the Republic of Ireland on international duty, he will collect his May award on his return to the club.
AFC Bournemouth would like to extend its thanks to Strategic Solutions for their continued sponsorship of the competition.
