Traorè and Ouattara earn wins

AFC Bournemouth players Hamed Traorè and Dango Ouattara earned vital Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wins in yesterday's international action.

Traorè started from the off in Cote d'Ivoire home game with Comoros in Bouaké and Les Éléphants secured a comfortable victory.

Goals from Christian Kouamé, Sébastien Haller and Jean-Philippe Krasso gave the home nation a 3-1 victory to establish their place at the top of their qualifying group.

Traorè earned his fifth international cap and played 72 minutes, being replaced Jean-Eudes Aholou.

Meanwhile, Dango Ouattara helped Burkina Faso to a narrow win over Togo, with the winning goal coming in the latter stages of the game.

Ouattara played the full 90 minutes and contributed to the victory as his late corner caused chaos in the Togo box before substitute Abdoul Tapsoba headed home.

Burkina Faso have a 100% record in the qualifying group stage with three wins out of three.

Finally, defender Matías Viña was an unused substitute in Uruguay's 1-1 draw with Japan in an international friendly.

The left-back could feature in their upcoming friendly with South Korea, which is being played on Tuesday, as they continue their visit to Asia.
