AFC Bournemouth midfielder Kyle Taylor has joined Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old joins the League Two club for the remainder of the 2019/20 season, the Cherries having squeezed past Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Academy graduate Taylor has made two first-team appearances for the Cherries, both in the FA Cup, most recently starting in the third round match with Brighton & Hove Albion in January.

Discussing the loan, Cherries boss Eddie Howe said: "I think it will be a really good move for him.

"Looking at Forest Green in the build-up to our game, I was hugely impressed with their style of play and how they do things in League Two.

"It will be a really good experience for Kyle to go out and hopefully get some good football but also get some good football in an environment which is conducive to his qualities and showing his best assets."
