AFC Bournemouth are pleased to introduce a new pre-match feature for the 2017/18 season.

Prior to each home game, a Fans' Champion will get the chance to walk out with the match ball in front of a filled up Vitality Stadium.

For our first Fans' Champion we welcomed Dan Hall, who has endured a long battle with Leukaemia and attended his first football match in two-and-a-half years as the Cherries faced West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the season.

Dan was greeted with huge cheers as he was presented to the crowd ahead of the Watford game and brought the match ball onto the pitch.

Ever since, we've had 92-year-old Eddie Freak and cancer survivor Jo Bayliss among those selected as our Fans' Champion.

If you would like to nominate someone to be a Cherries Champion, email [email protected] with their name, a contact number and a reason why they should be chosen.

Supporters should note that the successful candidate will need to have a ticket to the game and be able to carry the ball onto the pitch unassisted.
