Striker Jake Scrimshaw has completed a permanent move to Yeovil Town, ending his six-year association with AFC Bournemouth.

Scrimshaw could make his Glovers debut when they host National League rivals Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

He joined the Cherries as a 15-year-old, progressing through the academy ranks and penning his first professional contract after graduating from the under-18s.

Hailing from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, Scrimshaw was named under-18 player of the year at Vitality Stadium in 2018/19 after plundering no fewer than 48 goals in the season.

He had valuable loan spells with Poole Town, Eastleigh, Walsall, Newport County and Scunthorpe United during his time with the club.

The 21-year-old made his Football League debut and scored his first senior goals after spending the first half of 2020/21 with the Saddlers.

He played his part as Newport qualified for the League Two play-offs, the Welsh club eventually losing in the final to Morecambe at Wembley in 2021.

Scrimshaw netted four times in all competitions during a loan spell in League Two with Scunthorpe during the first half of last season.

Under manager Chris Hargreaves, who was first-team coach under Eddie Howe at Vitality Stadium in 2013/14, Yeovil have taken two points from their first four games.

AFC Bournemouth would like to wish Jake all the best at Huish Park and thank him for his efforts during his time at the club.
