Round-up: Travers wins second cap

Mark Travers won his second international cap on Thursday night as the Republic of Ireland beat New Zealand 3-1 in Dublin.

The 20-year-old replaced Kieran O'Hara in the 65th minute in the friendly at the Aviva Stadium, keeping a clean sheet during his half an hour on the pitch.

Travers won his first international cap in September this year, Ireland next in action on Monday with a European qualifier at home to Denmark.

Another Cherries player pulling on the green of the Emerald Isle was Gavin Kilkenny, who played 81 minutes as Ireland under-21s picked up a 1-0 win in Yerevan against Armenia under-21s.

The result came despite the visiting side finishing with ten men, Zack Elbouzedi's goal solidifying Ireland's grip at the top of their European Championships qualifying group.

At Wembley, England notched seven to confirm qualification for ext summer's Euros by beating Montenegro, though Callum Wilson was an unused substitute in the match.
