Round-up: Ramsdale's England clean sheet

Aaron Ramsdale kept a clean sheet as England under-21s continued their rapid start to European qualification with a 3-0 away win against Albania.

Phil Foden, Conor Gallagher and Reiss Nelson scored the goals that earned the Three Lions their three points, though the match was even in the early stages with Ramsdale twice called upon to retain parity before his side hit the front.

The result - one which means Ramsdale has now kept four clean sheets in five games for club and country - strengthens England's place at the top of their European qualifying group, the win a fourth in four.

In Oslo, Joshua King started and gained an assist for Iver Fossum's early goal as Norway breezed past the Faroe Islands with a 4-0 home win.

Automatic qualification is now out of reach for King and his compatriots, though they will hope for success through the play-offs. 

In the sunnier climes of Miami, Jefferson Lerma was in action, playing 90 minutes as Colombia edged out Peru 1-0 in a friendly.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos won the game at the end following a set piece, with Colombia next playing Ecuador in another friendly in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
