AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was in fine form for the England Under-20s side on Monday evening.

The 'keeper kept a clean sheet as the Young Lions were 2-0 winners against Germany under-20s in the Euro Elite League, but it wasn’t a quiet evening for the stopper.

The German side were dominant for large periods, and Paul Simpson’s side were thankful for Ramsdale showing his reflexes to keep the game within England’s grasp.

Second-half strikes from Arsenal’s Joe Willock and Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha secured the win along with some excellent rear-guard action.

Elsewhere, Nathan Ake was an unused sub as the Netherlands secured their place in the UEFA Nations League finals alongside England in dramatic fashion.

They came back from 2-0 down to score two second-half goals – the second was a 90th minute strike from Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk.
