Player of the Month: Voting Open for October Award

Voting is now open for October’s Michael Matthews Player of the Month award.

Four players are nominated for the accolade, after a month that saw the Cherries progress to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough and record their first away win of the season at Stoke.

Nathan Ake has been an ever present in October, playing a part in all four games for Eddie Howe’s side.

Andrew Surman followed up his goal against Brighton & Hove Albion with a strike from outside the area at Stoke, helping the Cherries to a 2-1 win.

Lewis Cook has established himself in Eddie Howe’s starting line-up, with a string of mature performances against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Junior Stanislas returned from injury this month and made a bright start to his season, having netted the winner from the spot at the Bet365 Stadium.

To vote for the award, head to the club’s official Twitter page, @AFCBournemouth.

The winner will be announced towards the end of the week.
