AFC Bournemouth midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh has joined League One high-fliers Wycombe Wanderers on a season-long loan.

Ofoborh has made rapid progress since arriving at Vitality Stadium four years ago and is now a member of Eddie Howe’s first-team squad.

He started pre-season friendlies against AFC Wimbledon, Girona, West Brom and Lyon and was on the bench for last week’s Carabao Cup clash against Forest Green Rovers.

The 19-year-old captained the club’s under-21s last season and led them to glory in the final of the Central League Cup against Notts County.

Named Young Player of the Year in 2017/18, Ofoborh made three appearances for Nigeria at the Under-20 World Cup finals in the summer.

He signed his first professional deal with the club in July 2017 and was rewarded for his progress with a new contract in December 2018.

Ofoborh will link up with former Cherries goalkeeper Ryan Allsop at Wycombe and could feature when they host Lincoln City on Saturday.
