A mid-week round of Fantasy Football came just two days after the last, with users having 48 hours to make amendments to their teams.

With a deadline of 6.45pm on Tuesday, quick thinking was needed to make amends for any weekend disasters.

Nevertheless, plenty of users in the AFC Bournemouth fan league were well prepared and there is now a new leader at the top of the table.

Marius Rusti heads the league, after a gameweek score of 66 and an overall tally of 1,043.

David Silva gained the bulk of his side’s points with 16, after two goals led to three bonus points. Also in midfield, Raheem Sterling came up trumps and Christian Eriksen also bagged an assist to aid Marius’ success.

Mark Woolston remains towards the top of the league, just 14 points behind the leader. He gained a total of 47 points this week, after Kevin De Bruyne scored 10 and Richarlison bagged six.

However, despite being outside the top 5,000 users in the Cherries fan league, Joe Ferries was the user that scored the highest number of points out of them all.

A total of 102 for gameweek 17 was helped by David Silva being chosen as captain, therefore gaining Joe’s side 32 points, whilst Shinji Okazaki and Willian both recorded 16.

Out of the Cherries players, Nathan Ake remains in top spot after his side earned 45 points. It was again the Manchester City duo of David Silva and De Bruyne who came up trumps and helped him retain top spot.

However, the best score recorded by the players came from Callum Wilson, with a remarkable 88 points, which saw him climb to fourth in the league.

Willian was a wise choice in midfield, alongside the ever present De Bruyne, whilst both Hugo Lloris and Ragnar Klavan gained nine points for their clean sheets against Brighton and West Brom respectively.
