Official FPL: September winner announced

Gameweek 7 drew to a close following the Monday Night Football between AFC Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, and the Cherries’ Official FPL league now has a new monthly winner.

After holding off stiff competition, Mohamed Yasser held off stern competition to accumulate the best score across the entirety of September to secure the club’s monthly prize.

Mohamed scored a huge 98 points this week to send him to the top of the table, largely thanks to having Harry Kane as captain, as well as 12 points secured by Wolves’ Matt Doherty in defence.

Congratulations Mohamed for scoring a massive 321 points for the month!

Top scorer

The average score from the gameweek was 51 points, but Fekry Mohamed smashed that total with 114 this gameweek.

Six of his players scored double figures, and a smart captain choice of Raheem Sterling secured 28 points and the bragging rights of the highest scorer for Gameweek 7 in the AFC Bournemouth league.

Cherries looking forward

The return of Junior Stanislas in the Premier League against Crystal Palace could be a sign of things to come for Eddie Howe’s side.

A set-piece specialist, particularly with the threat he poses from free-kicks, he proved his potential FPL value against Palace by dispatching the winning penalty with his first touch of the ball.

Last season, the winger was a real snip as a differential, and this time round only 0.1% of all managers own him at just £6m.

Stars to look out for

Harry Kane is causing everyone problems ahead of Gameweek 8 after his 13 point haul in Gameweek 7.

Already, more than 100,000 manager have opted for the Spurs striker ahead of their home game with Cardiff City.

But after that game with the Bluebirds, he comes up against West Ham, Manchester City, Wolves and Palace. If the free transfers are there it may be worth getting the frontman in for Gameweek 8 and formulating a contingency plan after that.
