AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Striker Callum Wilson was back on the official FPL scene with a bang after his stunning goal against West Ham United.

The frontman's tenth strike of the campaign – a wonderful volley from the edge of the box - secured some big points for players in the AFC Bournemouth League this weekend.

Here's a roundup of the best of Gameweek 23...

TOP SCORER

The Cherries kept their first clean sheet of 2019 and that helped 'ghost graves' to being the top scorer of the week in the AFC Bournemouth 2018/19 League.

He had Steve Cook who secured seven points, but a major haul of 104 - including 30 points from captain Mo Salah, give him bragging rights this week.

TOP OF THE LEAGUE

Joel Tesfai still leads the way in the AFC Bournemouth 2018/19 League, with a 55 point haul meaning his lead at the top has been narrowed.

Ullan Astapar scored 74 which moves him closer to Joel and into second place, with Robert Ziganshin slipping to third place.

With the top of the table getting tighter, here's some Cherries players that the trio should look at ahead of the upcoming gameweeks...

CHERRIES ON TOP

Wilson has provided nearly unbeatable value for official FPL managers, but a hamstring injury over the last two weeks has forced plenty of managers to sell the Cherries' top FPL scorer.

Back with a bang against West Ham United though and the maximum three bonus points bring the striker on everyone’s radar once again, with his price of £6.5m massive – particularly in the absence of £12.5m Harry Kane.

Elsewhere, Ryan Fraser might not have been credited with the assist for Wilson’s goal – controversially – but his impact for Wilson’s strike should have alerted FPL managers to his value in the Cherries’ system.

David Brooks scored six points with another lively display and assist for the second goal, at £5.1m he is only owned by 5.8% of managers.

The next two fixtures see Chelsea visit at home and a trip to Cardiff City, both of which hopefully mean big points for the AFC Bournemouth boys over the coming weeks.
