AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Another season of Fantasy Premier League is over and done with and we have a winner in the AFC Bournemouth fan league.

Endre Berg Leiren from Norway finishes at the top of the table with an overall points haul of 2,552.

His final gameweek score saw him score a remarkable 78, no less than 27 points above average.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aymeric Laporte delivered at the back, the former with two assists and a clean sheet while the Frenchman scored as Manchester City won the title.

In midfield, Christian Eriksen’s free-kick saw him end on seven, while Nathan Redmond’s opener for Southampton, accompanied with three bonus points, got him into double figures.

Also in the middle of the park for Endre was Sadio Mane, who netted both goals of Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Wolves and consequently picked up 15 points.

Up top, Sergio Aguero delivered once again and was chosen as captain, meaning he bagged 12 points for Endre’s team.

Cherries in focus

With three goals scored this weekend, the points were shared around the Cherries team. Jefferson Lerma’s bullet strike meant the 0.3% of users who selected him were rewarded, the Colombian finishing on nine points.

Elsewhere, Jordon Ibe’s goal meant that he finished with a respectable score in gameweek 38, earning seven points for the players who selected him. Joshua King, who bagged the Cherries’ third goal scored six.

Season overview

After 38 gameweeks, it was Ryan Fraser who came up trumps with the most points (181) out of any other Cherries player this season, his 14 assists having something to do with that. As a result, he was owned by 23.7% of users going into the final set of fixtures and his price had risen by £0.9m over the season.

Callum Wilson, who combined with Wee Man for 12 goals this year, was also a popular choice with 20.3% of users opting for the England striker. He finished with 168 points and was a cheap option up front, costing £6.9 million – also rising £0.9m across the entire season.

Wilson and Fraser’s price rises were the joint-third highest out of everyone in the entire season.

At the back, Nathan Ake was the most popular defender, being selected by 6.1% of players. He finished with 120 points after finishing the season with four goals, including the winner against Spurs ten days ago.
