AFC Bournemouth are introducing a new, modern and convenient way for supporters to order food and drink in the concourses at Vitality Stadium.

In order to save time for fans seeking refreshments on a matchday, the club have teamed up with SwipeStation, with an app available for people to download and then order food and drink.

A trial period will initially take place in the Vitality Main Stand, for those supporters who enter via turnstile A. Should this be a success, then the system will be used across the entire stadium.

Fans can avoid queues by ordering and paying for their drinks or food from anywhere in or around the stadium - even without an internet connection.

Payment is taken over the app and once an order has been placed, all you have to do is scan a QR code at one of the stations near the bar area. Supporters will then be able to collect their items from a fast lane at the bar.

The club is introducing this new digital system in order to make matchday a more convenient experience, with the trial of the new technology starting in the Vitality Main Stand Bar 1 at the Manchester United game on Wednesday 18th April.

Head of catering operations Paul Fudge said: "We’re delighted to welcome this new technology as it will speed up the process of ordering refreshments massively, meaning less supporters will be missing any of the game.

"The app is simple to use and will not only reduce waiting times at the bar but will also give the opportunity for fans to order their food and drink from anywhere in the stadium."

Supporters situated in the Vitality Main Stand entering via turnstile A are advised to download the app before the evening kick-off with Manchester United.

Click here to download the app or search for SwipeStation in the app store.
