New academy ID centre announced

AFC Bournemouth academy are pleased to announce that they are expanding their successful ID centre programme with the introduction of a new centre at Bulford Barracks, Salisbury.

The new ID Centre will become the fourth venue in which AFC Bournemouth currently operates throughout the region, with existing ID Centres in Brockenhurst, Dorchester and Havant. The new ID Centre will be delivered in partnership with the New Forest Football Academy.

Since its inception in 2015, the ID centre programme has seen approximately 40 individuals progress into academy football.

The new ID centre will aim to provide a platform for individuals to progress from grassroots football into the full academy programme at AFC Bournemouth.

"The ID centre programme provides a platform for increased numbers of talented individuals to work within the AFC Bournemouth academy syllabus whilst offering them further opportunities to showcase potential to academy staff over an extended period," Carl Robson, head of academy recruitment said.

In order to identify suitably talented individuals for the new ID centre the club's academy staff will be hosting trials at Bulford Barracks on Thursday 14th June.

Individuals in the U9, U10, U11 and U12 age groups are invited to express an interest in attending the trials by clicking the link below and providing the necessary information.
