Chris Mepham and David Brooks both won caps for Wales in their first friendly warm-up ahead of the upcoming Euros.

The Dragons faced a hefty challenge as they travelled to Nice to take on world champions France and their task was made all the tougher midway through the first half when defender Neco Williams was red carded for a hand ball in the penalty area.

The returning Karim Benzema missed the resulting spot kick, through France would go on to win the friendly 3-0 at the Allianz Riviera stadium, the goals coming from Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele.

Mepham started and played 59 minutes of the fixture, Cherries team-mate Brooks appearing later as a 73rd minute substitute, replacing Daniel James.

Robert Page's side have one more friendly before kicking-off their Euro 2020 group stage campaign next weekend in Baku with a game against Switzerland.
