Matchday sensory packs now available

AFC Bournemouth and the Community Sports Trust are delighted to be able to offer a matchday sensory pack to supporters with disabilities for the club’s forthcoming 2019/20 games.

The packs have been designed for supporters, particularly those with Autism, who attend matches, to make the matchday experience more accessible, comfortable and enjoyable.

The items will come complete with an AFC Bournemouth draw string bag and will include the following:

  • Club branded mini soft football.
  • Autism Awareness card and keychain, which can be shown to matchday staff and stewards to ask for assistance when in the ground, including a map of the stadium.
  • Club-branded noise-cancelling headphones.
  • Menu for concourse food which can be shown at the concourse to order.

Process for supporters

All sensory packs will need to be pre-ordered prior to matchday. This can be done so by completing the following application forms.

Application form for home matches

Application form for away matches

Once ordered, supporters will receive a confirmation email, with the pack then available for collection two hours prior to kick off from the DC Lounge at Vitality Stadium on the day of the game for home matchdays.

For away matches, sensory packs will be available to collect from the Superstore at Vitality Stadium from 9am the day before the match. Supporters attending AFC Bournemouth away matches that don’t live locally but would still like a sensory pack should notify Alice Jeans (alice.jeans@afcb.co.uk) in advance of the match so that the pack can be posted to you.

Once supporters have received their pack they are encouraged to continue to bring it back with them to all future games they attend.
