Ben Whitfield scored for Port Vale as they claimed a crucial win in League Two, their first win since the opening day of the season.
The 21-year-old connected with a crisp volley in the 61st minute to put Vale two goals up and on their way to a crucial 3-1 win over Cheltenham Town.
The win moved Vale above Forest Green Rovers and out of the bottom three.

There was success in Somerset for Yeovil Town, who claimed a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra. Striker Sam Surridge came off the bench in the 74th minute, while midfielder Matt Worthington was an unused substitute.
Mihai Dobre was an unused substitute in Bury's 3-1 win over Bradford City, with Joe Quigley also remaining on the bench in Newport County's 4-0 win at Forest Green.
Goalkeeper Mark Travers played the full 90 minutes as Weymouth won 2-1 away from home against St Neots Town. Under-18s midfielder Antonio Diaz was an unused substitute in the game.
