Loan watch: Terras trio continue winning run

AFC Bournemouth's trio of loanees at Weymouth enjoyed a superb afternoon as they helped the Terras bank £3,750 for for winning their FA Trophy qualifying tie against Hastings at Bob Lucas Stadium.

Managed by Mark Molesley, Calum Ward, Brennan Camp and Shaun Hobson all played 90 minutes as the Terras won 1-0, with all three influential in the clean sheet.

The victory means that Weymouth, who were promoted into the National League South last season, have only been defeated in three games so far in the campaign, a superb record from their 19 games thus far.

Sam Surridge came off the bench for Swansea City as their three-game unbeaten run came to an end against Milwall at home.

The striker was brought on in an attempt to draw the Swans level but they were defeated 1-0 by the Lions, with former Cherries man Connor Mahoney featuring for the visitors.

Nnamdi Ofoborh completed 90 minutes as Wycombe Wanderers claimed what could be a season-defining win over Doncaster Rovers.

The game was goalless until the 90th minute when Joe Jacobson stepped up to convert a pressure penalty.

The Blues, with Ofoborh influential, keep their spot at the top of the League Two table with a 10th clean sheet of the season.

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Further north, Jermain Defoe played 84 minutes as Rangers won at Hamilton to stay level with Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.

Steven Gerrard's side won 3-1 at Hamilton Academical to ensure that after 11 Scottish Premier League games, they are only three goals behind Celtic in the title race.

AZERBAIJAN PREMIER DIVISION

Asmir Begovic's Qarabag were defeated 2-1 away at Sumqayit, with the Bosnian stopper playing 90 minutes.

Begovic will also be hoping to feature in the Azerbaijan outfit's Europa League tie with Sevilla on Thursday evening, an important game as they seek qualification from Group D alongside Apoel Nicosia and F91 Dudelange.

NON LEAGUE

Another goalkeeper, Cameron Plain, was also in action at the weekend in the and kept a solid clean sheet for Wimborne in a 1-0 over Harrow in the Southern League Premier South.

In the Vanarama National League Tyler Cordner came on at the beginning of the second-half as Ebsfleet drew 1-1 at Stockport County.

His second-half substitute appearance is the 16th of his loan spell, with the result leaving United in the bottom two on goal difference.

Elsewhere in the division, Charlie Seaman was introduced as a late substitute as Eastleigh drew 1-1 away to Halifax.
