Loan watch: Taylor helps make point

Kyle Taylor played 90 minutes as Southend United earned their first point of the season away at Crawley Town.

Nathan Ralph scored inside the final ten minutes at the People’s Pension Stadium, cancelling out Ashley Nadesan's opener as the Shrimpers moved off the bottom of the table in a game former Cherries players Shaun Hobson and Brandon Goodship also featured in.

Also in League Two, at Prenton Park there was disappointment for Frank Vincent, Tyler Cordner and their Scunthorpe United side, who lost 2-0 to Tranmere Rovers.

James Vaughan scored twice for the home side, with Vincent playing 53 minutes and Cordner - who also hooked a Vaughan shot off his own goal line - playing the full 90 for the Iron, who finish the weekend 18th with four points from four games.

Weymouth began their first National League campaign in nine years with plenty of AFC Bournemouth representation as they battled the elements and Altrincham and came home with a point after a 0-0 draw.

Brennan Camp and Corey Jordan both started in the Terras' backline on the opening day, both players making their debuts at that level.
