AFC Bournemouth had seven loanees in action for their respective clubs on the weekend, with all but one avoiding defeat.

Sam Matthews had a successful day for Eastleigh, netting nine minutes into their 2-1 win at Torquay.

The midfielder's strike was impressive - he dribbled straight through the Gulls' backline and fired into the far corner.

In League Two, Aaron Ramsdale played 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet for Chesterfield, who beat table-toppers Luton 2-0.

Ramsdale made a number of impressive saves in an eye-catching performance, which helped the Spireites climb to 22nd in the League Two table.

Sam Surridge and Ben Whitfield featured against one another for Yeovil and Port Vale respectively. The game finished with the points shared after a 1-1 draw.

Whitfield, who has recently returned from injury, played 45 minutes while Surridge played 59 minutes in the fixture.

Striker Joe Quigley played his first game for Boreham Wood, featuring for 78 minutes of their 3-3 draw away at Gateshead.

Young shot-stopper Will Dennis was also in action, keeping a clean sheet for Weymouth who drew 0-0 with Stratford.

Finally, over in France, Max Gradel played 90 minutes of Toulouse’s 2-0 loss to St. Etienne.
