Christian Saydee scored two goals as Shrewsbury Town romped to victory over Burton Albion.

It was Saydee's first return to Pirelli Stadium since a loan spell at the club last season and it took all of 21 seconds to find the net.

The forward capitalised on a defensive error within the opening minute, beating goalkeeper Jordan Amissah to a loose ball and slotting home into an empty net.

Saydee, who had scored in the reverse fixture in September, got his second goal of the afternoon in the 43rd minute when he finished nicely following a scramble in the box.

Luke Leahy scored from the penalty spot before Chey Dunkley wrapped up the win in stoppage time.

Jamal Lowe made an immediate impact on his debut at Sky Bet Championship side QPR.

The striker started on the bench at Reading's Select Car Leasing Stadium and could only watch as the home side rushed into a 2-0 lead.

Manager Neil Critchley turned to Lowe in the 64th minute and the Jamaica international was heavily involved from the off, assisting Tyler Roberts inside a minute of coming on.

Roberts scored a second in the 80th minute to earn a valuable point.

Meanwhile, James Hill made a brilliant start to life at Heart of Midlothian on Friday night.

The 21-year-old, who celebrated his birthday last week, was given a start in the fixture with St Mirren.

Barrie McKay scored the only goal of the game in the 29th minute and Hill played a key part in ensuring Hearts kept a clean sheet.

The defender won plenty of plaudits for his performance, with the Talkin' Tynie Podcast describing him as "absolutely outstanding".
