Noa Boutin capped a memorable debut for Poole Town by being voted player of the match following their 1-0 win over Southern Premier South rivals Walton Casuals at Black Gold Stadium.

The 18-year-old Frenchman “caused Walton problems all game”, according to a match report on the official Poole Town website.

Boutin (main picture) was one of three Cherries players to feature for the Dolphins, Jack Seddon (pictured below) also starting and Marcus Daws (pictured below with Boutin) coming off the bench.

Tom Killick’s team earned a fifth successive home league win thanks to skipper Will Spetch’s bullet header from a Corby Moore free kick in the 15th minute.

Seddon, Boutin and Daws, who replaced Luke Holmes in the 59th minute, all played a part as the Dolphins kept a clean sheet with Casuals seeing an effort blocked on the line late on.

Jack Wadham made his debut for Dorchester Town in their 2-1 victory over Swindon Supermarine at the Avenue Stadium.

Alfie Stanley’s double, his second from the penalty spot, fired the Magpies into a 2-0 lead before Wadham was replaced by Charlie Gunson ten minutes from time.

Although Harry Williams halved the deficit in injury time, Glenn Howes’s team held on to bank three precious points in their battle to avoid the drop.

Tarik Gidaree and Aaron Roberts both made their debuts in Wimborne Town’s 4-0 defeat by fellow strugglers Kings Langley at the Orbital Fasteners Stadium.

Gidaree started and was replaced by Curtis Young in the 69th minute, while Aaron Roberts was named on the bench and came on for Louis Kellaway in the 62nd minute.

The hosts triumphed thanks to a Jamie Jellis penalty and goals from Watford loanee Shaqai Forde, Erin Amu and Arel Amu.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Zeno Ibsen Rossi made his third appearance for Dundee in their 4-0 defeat by Livingston at Dens Park.

Bruce Anderson’s double and goals from Scott Pittman and Jack Fitzwater left the Dark Blues anchored to the foot of the table.

Ibsen Rossi was replaced by Paul McMullan midway through the first half and with Dundee trailing 3-0.

LEAGUE ONE

Sam Sherring started for Cambridge United as they went down 4-2 in a see-saw affair against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

Sherring made his tenth appearance for Cambridge after playing his part in their midweek win over Plymouth, their fifth victory with him in the starting line-up.

Cameron Brannagan’s second-half double and a goal from Sam Baldock saw Oxford come from behind to take the points.

Sam Smith’s sixth-minute opener for the visitors was cancelled out by Matty Taylor before Smith restored Cambridge’s lead 11 minutes into the second half.

Christian Saydee gave a good account of himself as Burton Albion slipped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Shrewsbury Town at the Pirelli Stadium.

Saydee, restored to the Brewers starting line-up, went close to halving the deficit when his left-footed effort flashed past the upright in the 67th minute.

Earlier, the teenage striker had set up a chance for Charlie Lakin, Saydee driving into the box and teeing up his team-mate who shot narrowly wide.

Goals either side of half-time from Tom Bloxham and Matthew Pennington earned Shrewsbury a first win in ten games.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Ryan Glover featured for Aldershot Town in their 4-1 defeat by Wrexham in front of a bumper crowd of 8,475 at the Racecourse Ground.

Glover kept his place after starting in the midweek draw with Dover Athletic and made his 22nd appearance for the Shots.

Paul Mullin’s double and goals from Jordan Davies and Ollie Palmer put the hosts 4-0 ahead before Giles Phillips grabbed a late consolation for Mark Molesley’s team.

Brennan Camp made his second appearance for Eastleigh as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against promotion-chasing Boreham Wood at Meadow Park.

Camp was named man of the match on his Spitfires debut, the defender putting in an eye-catching display during their 1-1 draw with Southend United on Tuesday.

Tyrone Marsh’s fifth-minute header settled the issue in favour of the hosts with former Cherries favourite Brett Pitman almost grabbing a late equaliser for the visitors.

NATIONAL SOUTH

Luke Nippard started as Eastbourne Borough went down 2-0 against high-flying Ebbsfleet United at the Kuflink Stadium.

Nippard made his 11th appearance for the Sports as the Fleet triumphed thanks to goals from Craig Tanner and Dominic Poleon.
