Loan watch: Midweek action for six Cherries

AFC Bournemouth had six players in mid-week action, as a full list of EFL fixtures were played out.

Wins for Yeovil, Bury and Weymouth ensured that four Cherries players were on the winning side, whilst a couple of clean sheets were also recorded for our loanees.

Here is how they all got on…

Ryan Allsop

Ryan Allsop started his ninth consecutive league game for Blackpool and marked it with a clean sheet, as the Tangerines recorded a 0-0 draw with Rochdale at Bloomfield Road.

Sam Surridge

Sam Surridge also enjoyed a successful evening for Yeovil Town. Despite starting on the bench, he came on after 75 minutes and assisted the Glovers’ 90th minute winner, as they beat Chesterfield 3-2 away from home.

Matt Worthington

Also turning out for Darren Way’s side was Matt Worthington, who was rewarded with his first start for the Glovers in their 3-2 win at Chesterfield.

Ben Whitfield

Ben Whitfield also started and played 64 minutes of Port Vale’s match with Accrington Stanley, but couldn’t inspire them to victory, as they fell to a 2-1 loss.

Mihai Dobre

Mihai Dobre, however, was on the winning side, coming on after 77 minutes, as Bury beat Oxford United 3-0 at home.

Mark Travers

Additionally, young ‘keeper Mark Travers played 90 minutes as Weymouth recorded a 3-2 win over Basingstoke.

Elsewhere

Baily Cargill, Lewis Grabban, Joe Quigley and Jordan Lee were either unused substitutes or did not feature in the matchday squad for their respective clubs.
