Loan watch: Iron hammer out first win

Tyler Cordner and Frank Vincent were key to a clean sheet as Scunthorpe United beat Carlisle United 1-0 on Saturday for their first League Two win of the campaign.

The Cherries pair both started as the Iron picked up their first three points of the season in League Two.

Vincent went close with a shot in the opening period at Glanford Park, while Cordner played his part with a good clearance before the break, helping his defensive unit stay firm to keep their clean sheet and ensure Jordan Hallam's strike was the match winner.

In Weymouth's latest pre-season match Brennan Camp started but was part of a friendly loss, the Terras going down in a tight 1-0 defeat to Ebbsfleet United.

Camp played the full 90 minutes at the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday, with Brian Stock's side next in action with their National League starter away at Altrincham this weekend.
