Shaun Hobson scored an excellent goal for Weymouth on Tuesday in their 3-2 defeat to Havant & Waterlooville.

The Terras were defeated in an important fixture in the promotion race in the National League South.

The young defender picked the ball up 25 yards from goal and smashed it from distance, dipping over the ‘keeper.

He also featured in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Eastbourne Borough, Mark Molesley’s side pegged back in the 95th minute to stop them from securing three points. Hobson received a yellow card. Calum Ward featured in both matches.

However, goals from Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino in quick succession levelled the scores and Inter Milan went on to become winners as Stefan De Vrij and Romelu Lukaku wrapped up the points and go top of Serie A.

Nnamdi Ofoborh came on as a 90th minute substitute as Wycombe Wanderers cruised to victory at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday, keeping themselves in second place in League One.

Adebayo Akinfenwa opened the scoring after nine minutes, before Jayden Mitchell-Lawson equalised for the visitors. Darius Charles netted on 39 minutes to regain the lead before Matt Bloomfield fired home the third just minutes later.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Matt Butcher was an unused substitute as St. Johnstone earned safe passage with a 1-2 win over Ayr United at Somerset Park. Aaron Muirhead scored an own-goal and was sent off for Ayr before Callum Hendry headed home to win the game and set-up a home tie with Celtic in the fifth round.

The midfielder didn’t feature in Tuesday’s narrow victory over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, Ali McCann’s sixth minute strike enough to earn the points.

Meanwhile, Mikael Ndjoli also remained on the bench as his Motherwell side drew their Scottish Cup game with St. Mirren on Saturday, Mark O’Hara’s strike cancelled out by Alex Jakubiak’s leveller. The winner of the replay will face Aberdeen or Kilmarnock in the next round.
