Loan watch: Grabban strikes again

AFC Bournemouth had seven loanees in mid-week action, as the Football League and National League completed another set of fixtures last night.

Here’s a look at how they got on…

Lewis Grabban

Lewis Grabban netted the first goal of Chris Coleman’s reign as Sunderland manager, but the Black Cats faced a tricky test in the form of Aston Villa. Steve Bruce’s side ran out 2-1 winners on the night, with Grabban’s goal a consolation.

Ryan Allsop

Following his clean sheet Ryan Allsop was also in action, as Blackpool drew 1-1 with Gillingham at Bloomfield Road.

Matt Worthington

Matt Worthington was another Cherries man to play 90 minutes, as Yeovil drew 1-1 with Notts County.

Sam Surridge

Alongside Worthington, Sam Surridge played 53 minutes of the Glovers’ draw.

Mihai Dobre

Bury’s 1-0 win over Shrewsbury was aided by Mihai Dobre, who started and played 78 minutes of the game.

Baily Cargill

Also in League One, Baily Cargill got 56 minutes in the tank for Fleetwood, who were on the end of a 4-2 scoreline with Walsall.

Sam Matthews

In the National League, Sam Matthews played a full 90, as Eastleigh scored two late goals to come from behind and draw with Maidenhead United.
