Loan watch: Grabban on target for Sunderland

AFC Bournemouth had six loanees in action over the weekend, with Lewis Grabban on target as Sunderland lost out at Reading.

Four Cherries men recorded 90 minutes, as Ligue 1 fixtures, FA Cup action and National League matches were all played out.

Here’s a look at how our loanees got on…

Lewis Grabban

Lewis Grabban continued his excellent form for Sunderland, scoring the only goal of their 3-1 defeat to Reading after the Black Cats went down to ten men.

Sam Surridge

Sam Surridge bagged 90 minutes of match action, with Yeovil recording a 1-1 draw at Port Vale in the FA Cup.

Baily Cargill

Also in the FA Cup, Baily Cargill got another 90 minutes in the tank, but Fleetwood will require a replay if they are to beat Halifax after drawing 1-1.

Max Gradel

The Ivorian played 75 minutes, but his Toulouse side couldn’t overcome Lille, losing out 1-0.

Mark Travers

Goalkeeper Mark Travers was the fourth Cherries man to record 90 minutes, as ten-man Weymouth beat Chesham United 1-0.

Sam Matthews

The youngster started and played 46 minutes of Eastleigh’s 2-0 defeat to top of the league, Sutton United.
