Loan watch: Grabban and Surridge on target

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth had nine players in action over the course of the weekend, with both Lewis Grabban and Sam Surridge on target for Sunderland and Yeovil respectively.

Here’s a detailed look at how the Cherries loanees got on across the weekend.

Lewis Grabban

Despite a 2-1 loss to Bristol City, Grabban netted Sunderland’s only goal of the game to draw them level just before half-time. However, a Milan Duric strike 20 minutes from time ensured that the Robins came away with all three points.

Sam Surridge

Surridge, however, was on the winning side, as he netted twice in Yeovil’s 3-0 romp over Stevenage. Additionally, the youngster played all 90 minutes, which saw the Glovers move up to 17th place.

Matt Worthington

Matt Worthington also put in a good performance for Darren Way’s side, also playing 90 minutes and keeping a clean sheet.

Baily Cargill

Baily Cargill was also back in action for Fleetwood and was another loanee to keep a clean sheet, as the Codarmy beat Oxford 2-0.

Max Gradel

Max Gradel was another who got significant game time, playing the full 90 minutes of Toulouse’s 0-0 draw with St. Etienne.

Ryan Allsop

Ryan Allsop played a full game between the sticks to Blackpool, continuing his run in the side. However, the Tangerines couldn’t find a route back into the game after Sam Hoskins netted the only goal of the game.

Mark Travers

Fellow ‘keeper Mark Travers faced a similar outcome, as Weymouth lost at Hereford. The Welsh outfit ran out 4-1 winners at Edgar Street.

Ollie Harfield

Ollie Harfield was the final Cherries man to bag 90 minutes, but 10-man Poole Town couldn’t overcome Gloucester, as they lost 3-0 to the Tigers.
