AFC Bournemouth had five of their loanees in action, as mid-week EFL and non-league fixtures took place.

Ben Whitfield

Ben Whitfield kept his place in Port Vale’s starting line up, following his excellent strike against Cheltenham on the weekend.

Despite not repeating the feat last night, the youngster still came out on the winning side as the Valiants beat Morecambe 3-0.

Ryan Allsop

Ryan Allsop was another Cherries man who came out victorious, playing 90 minutes between the sticks as his Blackpool side beat Bury 2-1.

Mihai Dobre

However, it was Mihai Dobre on the receiving end of Blackpool’s win, with the striker coming on after 78 minutes to try and salvage a point for Bury.

Sam Surridge

Sam Surridge got 90 minutes for Yeovil, in their League Two encounter with Cambridge. However, the 19-year-old couldn’t help the side to victory as they lost 2-1 at the Abbey Stadium.

Mark Travers

Mark Travers was another Cherries man to record 90 minutes, as he saw his Weymouth side beat Merthyr Town 3-2.

Elsewhere

Baily Cargill, Joe Quigley and Matt Worthington were unused substitutes, as Fleetwood drew to Scunthorpe, Newport lost to Colchester and Yeovil were defeated to Cambridge.
