Tyler Cordner and Frank Vincent made their EFL debuts as Scunthorpe United began the season with a 1-1 draw against Newport County.

Centre-back Cordner - who scored in the EFL Trophy match with Lincoln City last week - started and played the full 90 minutes at Glanford Park in the draw with the Exiles.

Vincent (pictured above) also began the contest, playing 71 minutes and delivering a dangerous ball into the box as the home side pushed just ahead of the Iron's equaliser near the hour mark.

Tristan Abrahams had given Newport a first-half advantage, cancelled out by Ryan Loft's long-range effort after the interval.

In the Scottish Premiership, defender Zeno Ibsen Rossi appeared as a late substitute as his Kilmarnock side lost 1-0 away to Aberdeen, the Cherries loanee making his second showing for the side after starting and making his first professional appearance in the match prior to the international break.

Closer to home, Brennan Camp could feature for loan club Weymouth on Tuesday evening as the Terras face Exeter City in their latest pre-season friendly.
