AFC Bournemouth teammates Christian Saydee and Nathan Moriah-Welsh both scored their second goals of the season for their respective loan clubs on Saturday.
Saydee’s well-taken first-half effort paved the way for Shrewsbury Town’s 2-1 win over League One rivals Burton Albion at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
The 20-year-old striker, who made 18 appearances during a loan spell with the Brewers last season, notched his first goal in the Football League in the Shrews’ 2-1 defeat at Port Vale last Saturday.
And he followed up with another clinical strike, arrowing a low drive from a tight angle into the bottom corner having been teed up by Tom Bayliss’s headed assist.

Although Victor Adeboyejo cancelled out Saydee’s 13th-minute opener early in the second half, Shrewsbury substitute Ryan Bowman came off the bench to grab a 67th-minute winner.
Saydee had made two substitute appearances for the Shrews before starting against Port Vale and Burton and scoring in both games for Steve Cotterill’s team.
Moriah-Welsh bagged a classy opening goal in Newport County’s 1-1 draw with League Two rivals Carlisle United at Rodney Parade.
The 20-year-old midfielder was rewarded for his quick thinking and neat footwork following a scintillating run and cross from fellow loanee Thierry Nevers from West Ham.
Moriah-Welsh darted forward to beat Jon Mellish to Nevers’ centre, clipping the ball past the Carlisle man before running on and guiding it past Cumbrians goalkeeper Tomas Holy.

The former under-18s’ captain had earlier shown his defensive qualities, scrambling back to thwart a Carlisle break after the visitors had gone through two-on-one.
Carlisle captain Corey Whelan earned the visitors a share of the spoils when he applied the finishing touch to Callum Guy’s corner 15 minutes from time.
Moriah-Welsh, who featured for the Cherries against Yeovil and Boreham Wood in the FA Cup last season, bagged his first goal for the Exiles in a 2-1 home win against Tranmere in August.
