Loan Watch: Duo back in action with Terras

The Terras were playing their first game for four weeks having been placed into isolation due to a high number of positive coronavirus tests.  

Jordan, who made his sixth appearance for Brian Stock’s team, saw his looping header go over the crossbar in the opening stages.

The visitors, who fielded England and Manchester United captain Harry Maguire’s brother Laurence, went behind five minutes before half-time.

Sean Shields seized possession on the edge of the box and curled a delightful effort into the top corner past the despairing dive of Spireites goalkeeper Kyle Letheren.

However, Jordan, Camp and the rest of the Weymouth defence had their hands full dealing with the threat of lively Chesterfield frontmen Akwasi Asante and Tom Denton.

The pair combined to fashion the visitors’ equaliser on the stroke of half-time with Denton finding Asante who fired into the bottom corner.

Giant striker Denton bagged the winner on the hour when he headed past former Wimborne goalkeeper Gerard Benfield who excelled on his Weymouth debut.

Victory gave James Rowe three points in his first game in charge of Chesterfield having left National North outfit Gloucester City to replace John Pemberton last week.

Jordan and Camp will be hoping for better fortunes when they host FC Halifax Town in front of the BT Sport cameras on 5^th December (5.20pm kick-off).

Jake Scrimshaw played his part as Walsall held League Two leaders Newport County to a 1-1 draw at Rodney Parade last Tuesday.

Scrimshaw, handed his second league start by the Saddlers, saw a goalbound header blocked with the score at 1-1 on 28 minutes.

The visitors drew first blood through Elijah Adebayo after 21 minutes before Newport levelled through Scott Twine’s 35-yard thunderbolt just three minutes later.

Striker Scrimshaw, 20, made his ninth appearance for the Saddlers and was replaced by Wes McDonald 13 minutes from time.
