AFC Bournemouth had five players in action for their respective clubs on Saturday.

It was quite an afternoon for Tyler Cordner, who struck for the second time in as many games to help Havant & Waterlooville move out of the bottom four in the National League.

The defender headed home past Halifax ‘keeper Ben Dudzinski to give his side the lead, as the hosts ran out 2-1 winners at Westleigh Park.

The Hawks ended their ten-game unbeaten run in mid-week, thanks to another goal from Cordner, and now sit on 17 points in the league.

In the Premier League, Harry Arter returned to the Cardiff side after missing out at Anfield through injury.

An emotional day at the Cardiff City Stadium saw Leicester run out 1-0 winners thanks to a Demarai Gray goal. Arter played 79 minutes.

Over in English football’s second division, Connor Mahoney’s Birmingham side took the lead against Derby County at Pride Park, but found themselves defeated 3-1.

It was a first defeat in 11 for the Blues, as Mahoney played all 90 minutes.

Emerson Hyndman’s Hibernian were also defeated on Saturday, losing 1-0 to St. Johnstone, while Sam Sherring played 90 minutes for Weymouth, who continue to fly high with a 2-1 win at Basingstoke.

Elsewhere, Brad Smith’s Seattle Sounders and Mikael Ndjoli’s Kilmarnock are both in action later today, while Sam Surridge and Jake Scrimshaw didn’t feature for Oldham Athletic and Poole Town respectively.

The club's loan watch series is sponsored by Westover Group.
