Loan watch: Cherries in action over the weekend

Across the EFL and FA Cup there were on-loan Cherries player getting competitive football over the weekend.

The Bournemouth involvement in the FA Cup came as Mark Molesley's Weymouth travelled to Odd Down and won 5-0, Antonio Diaz impressing and playing the whole game in the first qualifying round.

In League One Ryan Allsop kept a clean sheet for Blackpool who moved up to seventh after a 1-0 Bloomfield Road success against AFC Wimbledon, the Cherries' 'keeper making a fine save from Cody McDonald in the first half.

Defender Baily Cargill came off the bench in the 75th minute for Fleetwood, who lost 3-1 away at Bristol Rovers.

Into League Two and Ben Whitfield started at Vale Park on Saturday. While the on-loan Cherries player completed the 90 minutes his side were edged out 1-0 by Notts County, Lewis Alessandra scoring the only goal of the game.

Sam Surridge came off the bench in the 75th minute with Yeovil Town already 2-0 down at Crawley Town, however the Glovers were unable to turn things around.

Matt Worthington, who joined Yeovil on loan last week, didn't make the matchday squad.
