Cristian Romero and Leandro Paredes gave the visitors a flying start, with Colombia's head coach Reinaldo Rueda shuffling his pack after half an hour to focus more on attack, Lerma giving way in the tactical change.
The reshuffle had a positive effect with Luis Muriel halving the deficit from the penalty spot just after half time, Miguel Borja then scoring a last-gasp leveller in added time to to claim a dramatic point for Los Cafeteros.
