King spot on for Norway

Joshua King was the only AFC Bournemouth player in senior international action throughout the course of Saturday’s fixtures.

The Cherries frontman started for Norway in their opening UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier away at Spain.

Despite falling behind to Rodrigo’s opening goal in Valencia, Norway hit back to shock the home crowd midway through the second half.

King was on hand to convert from the penalty spot beyond David De Gea for his 13th international goal.

But the hosts were back in front just six minutes later, with Sergio Ramos coolly converting from 12 yards following a defensive mix-up.

Mark Travers was an unused substitute for the Republic of Ireland, who were 1-0 winners away at Gibraltar.
