Khavarn Williams’s finely-taken strike against Cardiff City in the FA Youth Cup has won the Strategic Solutions Goal of the Month award for January.
The teenage frontman applied a superb finish to a James Oliver cross to help Alan Connell’s under-18s beat the Bluebirds in the fourth round at Vitality Stadium.
Oliver set up the only goal of the game with a surging run down the left wing before providing the assist for Williams to fire the Cherries into the fifth round.
The 16-year-old, who has netted 11 goals this season, topped our poll on Twitter with 35 per cent of the vote, pipping August and November winner Harry Wilson who claimed 30 per cent.
Wilson, whose entry was his effort in the 3-1 win against Brighton, finished ahead of Phil Billing, whose opener in the 4-0 victory against Luton in the FA Cup polled 27 per cent of the vote, while Alex Dobre’s strike in the Premier League Cup against Nottingham Forest received eight per cent.
Williams has been presented with his Goal of the Month award by representatives of Strategic Solutions - who proudly sponsor the award.
