Jordan joins Cherries as coach

Experienced coach Joe Jordan has been appointed to the first-team staff at AFC Bournemouth.

Jordan has a wealth of experience in the game, working as a coach and manager for a number of clubs - following on from an international career as a player, winning 52 caps for Scotland and being inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.

A former manager with Bristol City, Hearts and Stoke City, Jordan worked as a coach with former Cherries manager Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers, stints that included winning the FA Cup and working with a squad in the Champions League.

Jordan also coached alongside Jonathan Woodgate at Middlesbrough in the Championship in 2017.

Speaking of the latest addition to his coaching staff, following the arrival of Gary O'Neil earlier this week, head coach Woodgate spoke about Jordan.

He said: "We've brought in Joe, he'll be an astute signing for us. He has a lot of experience in the game and that will be great for us."
