International Round Up: Five Cherries in action

The Cherries have had five players in international action since the start of the week, with four turning out for their countries last night.

Here’s a look at how they got on.

Harry Arter

After a goalless first leg, it was heartbreak for Harry Arter and his Republic of Ireland side, with their 5-1 loss at the hands of Denmark crushing any dreams of playing in next summer’s World Cup. A hat-trick for Christian Eriksen, as well as goals from Andreas Christensen and Nicklas Bendtner sent the Danes through.

Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake was on the winning side and played all 90 minutes as the Netherlands beat Romania 3-0 away from home. Goals from Memphis Depay, Ryan Babel and Luuk de Jong sealed the victory.

Aaron Ramsdale

Aaron Ramsdale cemented his place as England under-20s first-choice ‘keeper, playing another 90 minutes for the Young Lions last night. However, his side couldn’t overcome a strong German outfit, losing 2-1 at the Zwickau Stadium.

Connor Mahoney

Connor Mahoney also featured alongside Ramsdale, starting the game on the wing for Paul Simpson’s side and playing all 90 minutes of the Euro Elite League fixture.

Lys Mousset

Following his goal for France under-21s in their 3-0 win over Bulgaria on Thursday, Lys Mousset also featured for the side on Monday, as they overcame Slovenia 3-1 away from home.
