Hampshire Senior Cup date set with Moneys

AFC Bournemouth will next month visit Moneyfields in their delayed 2019/20 Hampshire Senior Cup semi-final.

The tie will take place at Moneyfields Sports Ground on Tuesday 13th October (7.45pm kick-off).

Shaun Cooper’s under-21s started out in the competition more than 12 months ago when they beat Basingstoke Town 8-0 in the second round with Gavin Kilkenny (pictured above) plundering a hat-trick.

And before the coronavirus pandemic brought the season to a temporary halt, the Cherries won through to the last four after seeing off Farnborough in December and Sholing in January.

Moneyfields lost their Southern League Division One South opener at Cinderford Town on Saturday, having reached the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after defeating Camberley Town seven days previously.

The Portsmouth-based club has progressed to the Hampshire Senior Cup semi-final having seen off Aldershot Town, Winchester City and Andover New Street.

The maximum attendance at Moneyfields Sports Ground is 400 and the club is keen to avoid queues at the turnstiles.

Cost of entry is £8 for adults and £5 for concessions and spectators are asked to email their full name and phone number to: moneyfieldstrackandtrace@hotmail.com
