AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Tyrell Hamilton bagged a dramatic injury-time winner for Gosport Borough in their 2-1 victory over Southern Premier South rivals Walton Casuals at Privett Park.

Hamilton replaced Charlie Kennedy in the 73rd minute and won the points for Boro when he converted after George Barker’s corner had been headed back across goal by Ryan Woodford.

His first goal of the club helped them maintain their play-off push after they had been given a scare by lowly Casuals during an eventful second half.

The visitors drew first blood through Cole Brown 12 minutes from time before Mat Paterson restored parity just six minutes later.

And Hamilton had the final say when he popped up with the winner to make it ten points from Boro’s past five games.

COPPA ITALIA

Asmir Begovic looked on from the bench as AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by Juventus in the semi-final, first leg at the San Siro on Thursday night.

Juventus had been looking to take back a lead to Turin but were rocked when Ante Rebic’s fierce volley beat veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to put the hosts in front.

However, Milan had Theo Hernandez sent off for a second yellow card with 19 minutes to go before Juve were awarded a controversial penalty in injury-time.

Following a lengthy VAR review, referee Paolo Valeri awarded a penalty for handball against Davide Calabria and Cristiano Ronaldo netted from the spot to level.

SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

Matt Butcher made his first start for St Johnstone as they were pegged back late on by Ross County at Dingwall.

Stevie May put the Saints ahead after 32 minutes and they squandered several presentable chances to add to their lead.

Butcher, who featured from the bench in draws against Hearts and Motherwell, was replaced by Jason Holt 18 minutes from time.

And the midfielder was forced to watch from the bench as Billy Mckay levelled for the hosts deep into stoppage-time.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Harry Arter replaced Tom Cairney after 54 minutes as high-flying Fulham suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of struggling Barnsley.

Arter made his 17th appearance for the Cottagers who were sunk at Craven Cottage by old boy Cauley Woodrow’s double and a Jacob Brown effort.

LEAGUE ONE

Nnamdi Ofoborh played his part as Wycombe Wanderers reignited their automatic promotion hopes with a 2-0 win at bottom club Bolton.

Ofoborh replaced Fred Onyedinma 17 minutes from time and with the Chairboys leading thanks to Aristote Nsiala’s own goal and Joe Jacobson’s 62nd-minute penalty.

Victory hoisted Wycombe to third place, just a point behind top two Rotherham and Coventry.

NATIONAL SOUTH

Calum Ward and Shaun Hobson both started for Weymouth as they overturned a 2-0 deficit to run out 3-2 victors against Hampton & Richmond Borough at the Beveree Stadium.

The Terras saw Yemi Odubade’s fourth-minute penalty saved and had a goal ruled out for offside before efforts from Dean Inman and Niko Muir gave the Beavers a 2-0 half-time lead.

However, a storming comeback started when Brett Williams halved the arrears from distance two minutes into the second half and Calvin Brooks levelled with a header on 65 minutes.

Brooks bagged the winner in the 74th minute before Ward made a crucial save to deny Muir a dramatic late equaliser as the Terras consolidated fourth place and gained points on promotion rivals Havant & Waterlooville and Slough Town who drew 1-1.
