AFC Bournemouth’s Official FPL League is heating up at the top of the table, following the conclusion of Matchweek 17 at Anfield on Sunday.

Mladen Kratovic has become the new league leader after a points haul of 75 for this gameweek, taking him to a total of 1167 points. That means he’s just edging away from Fabio Borges who sits in second place with 1166 points.

Kratovic’s faith in a Wolves trio of Matt Doherty, Ryan Bennett, and Raul Jimenez saw him net 21 points from the three players as their side beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday.

However, Eden Hazard became the highest-scoring player in Kratovic’s lineup, as the Belgian midfielder scooped up 13 points with a goal and assist in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Brighton.

Elsewhere on the pitch, Leroy Sane, Hugo Lloris, Felipe Anderson, Raheem Sterling, and Harry Kane all offered points aplenty for Mladen. Great selections from back to front!

Elsewhere in the Cherries fan league, Ahmed Eladawy scored 93 points, more than anyone else, in no small part due to his decision to give Henrikh Mkhitaryan the captain’s armband. The Armenian earned 14 points, doubled to 28 for Ahmed, with both goals in Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat to Southampton.

Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen, and Salomon Rondon were also great choices from the FPL manager. Ahmed’s points-haul is doubly impressive considering he left 10 points on his bench!

Around the grounds

As for who we think you should be keeping an eye on in the game, Fabianski represents an affordable and fruitful option between the sticks. The West Ham ‘keeper has kept two clean sheets and saved a penalty in his last four games, earning him 27 points across those fixtures.

Of the Hammer’s next four matches, three of them have a Fixture Difficulty Rating of two, so now could be a good time to invest just £4.6m for his services.

If you’re willing to splash the cash, Leroy Sane is hard to ignore. His fine form for Manchester City has seen him score four goals and get six assists in his last seven matches! Those willing to part ways with £9.7m to acquire the German should expect double-figure returns from him throughout the season.
