February Goal of the Month voting now open

Voting for AFC Bournemouth’s Strategic Solutions Goal of the Month award for February is now open.

As ever, there are four nominees for the gong which was introduced at the start of the 2019/20 season.

The first nomination comes from the Cherries’ 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, when midfielder Philip Billing opened the scoring with a lovely finish in the area from Dan Gosling’s knockdown.

Nominee number two comes from the under-18s where striker Khavarn Williams is nominated after winning the award in January.

His goal came after some brilliant work from Nathan Moriah-Welsh and Luke Pardoe resulted in Williams finishing clinically in the box.

The third nominee is from the under-21s’ brilliant 3-2 win over Southampton in the Premier League Cup at Vitality Stadium.

In stoppage time, Sam Surridge secured top spot and qualification to the knockout stages with a brilliantly struck finish 20-yards out into the bottom corner.

And the final nomination comes from the first team again where Joshua King scored against Chelsea in the 2-2 draw at Vitality Stadium.

The goal may have been a tap in but makes the final four due to some brilliant build-up play from Lewis Cook, Ryan Fraser, Philip Billing and Jack Stacey.

Voting is now open on the club’s Twitter feed, and the club would like to thank Strategic Solutions for being involved in the Goal of the Month award.
