/media/183590/gettyimages-1250687461.jpg

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth can now provide a list of FAQs for the club’s new streaming service, afcbTV Live.

The new streaming platform is now live at this link (live.afcb.co.uk), and supporters can now purchase their match passes ahead of the first game of the season against Blackburn Rovers.

Supporters purchasing the stream packages will receive a fully edited TV broadcast with BBC Radio Solent commentary synced to the footage.

The club have scoured social media and other sources to compile this list of FAQs about the streaming service and would encourage supporters to look at this list before purchasing and if you experience any issues.

For any supporters who have any customer service based questions, please email [email protected] directly - this customer service is provided by our providers.

I have purchased my streaming pass but I'm not getting the WATCH NOW button?

Firstly, if you have purchased your stream once, DO NOT purchase again. You need to be logged in to your account to get access to the matches you have purchased - you DO NOT receive a code.

On matchday, when you want to watch the stream, follow these simple steps:

FOR LAPTOP / PC

  1. Head to live.afcb.co.uk
  2. Click the ‘head and shoulders icon’ in the top right-hand corner
  3. Login with the same details you purchased the stream with
  4. This will then take you back to the home page where you can click WATCH NOW. This will appear from 2pm on matchday.

FOR MOBILE

  1. Head to live.afcb.co.uk
  2. Click the three dashes in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Scroll down to ‘login/register’
  4. Click that, and then enter the same details you registered with.
  5. This will then take you back to the home page where you can click WATCH NOW. This will appear from 2pm on matchday.

Be careful in typing your email address, please make sure it is correct without any typos before purchasing.

If you are not logged in, you won't see the watch now button. Please make sure to log in.

What sort of stream will I be receiving?

Supporters will be receiving a four-camera feed, edited together with live scoreline and minutes graphics, as well as commercial graphics for club and EFL sponsors.

The stream will be HD quality on all devices depending on your internet speed/connection with BBC Radio Solent commentary synced to the footage.

If there is no Solent commentary on the stream, then our supplier will not refund on this basis if the picture is uninterrupted, as mentioned in our terms and conditions.

As a season ticket holder, am I entitled to a free stream for every game?

No, season ticket holders receive free codes for games that ARE ON SKY SPORTS ONLY.

Why are you charging supporters to watch games?

The club are working within EFL rules and regulations, with the entire pricing structure set by the league – NOT the club.

Why do international supporters pay a different price?

Again, these are EFL rules and regulations. Supporters in the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands pay £10 per game, all other countries are £7.

How can I purchase streams?

The club’s new live video service, afcbTV Live, is now active at this link.

Supporters have to register an account to purchase streams using a credit/debit card and can then enjoy the football on their digital device.

If I purchase any of the monthly subscriptions, does this automatically renew?

Yes. If you do not want this to automatically renew or only want this for one month, you MUST cancel your subscription manually by clicking ‘my account.’

What happens once I have purchased my stream?

Once you have purchased, head back to the live.afcb.co.uk home page, there will be a WATCH NOW button. Click that button on matchday. You DO NOT receive a code to redeem on purchase, it is on your account.

Can I watch the streams from a Smart TV browser?

This is prohibited by EFL rules.

What time will the streams start?

They will begin 60 minutes before kick-off.

Can you chromecast the streams from mobile?

Unfortunately not, casting of any variety is prohibited under EFL regulations.

Do I have to watch the stream on the device I paid on?

When you purchase your pass you will have created an account. You will have access to this on all devices, note you will be only able to log in on one device at a time.

How many games do international supporters get for the yearly subscription price?

The club cannot guarantee an exact number due to broadcast selections and broadcaster rights. The club has however been informed by the EFL that this will be approximately 37 games – but please do not use this as an exact total.

Can I watch the games on demand after they’ve finished?

Unfortunately, this service is not available on afcbTV Live. The club will be providing plenty of match content for free on afcbTV after each game.

When I purchase my match stream, does that include match commentary?

Yes. If you purchase your match pass, you will get Solent commentary included and synced to the match footage.

Why are the club charging for live commentary this season?

EFL rules.

When can you watch games?

All non-televised games (i.e. games not on Sky) are available to watch worldwide.

Televised games (on Sky, and televised by international broadcasters) can be watched in the UK by those with a season card holder voucher ONLY. The club will email vouchers to season ticket holders to redeem at afcbTV Live – this will be reviewed again in October by the EFL.

I have a season card holder voucher, what do I do?

You will need to be logged in and registered to correctly redeem a voucher code or discount voucher. Please follow this link once logged in to redeem the voucher, for SKY GAMES ONLY.

These vouchers will be supplied by the club via email, so if you believe you are entitled to a voucher (i.e. season ticket holder) then please get in touch with the media department ([email protected]).

They are redeemable on afcbTV Live, NOT NowTV like in lockdown in the Premier League.

What devices does afcbTV Live work on?

Live audio commentary and video streams can be accessed across desktop, tablet and mobile devices with up-to-date browsers.

If you are unsure whether your technology will be supported, please contact [email protected] and provide your device and browser details.

What is afcbTV Live and what does it offer?

Live Audio: Live audio offers fans alternative ways to follow matches if they can’t attend games with live commentary of every game during the season.

Live Video: Live video coverage of games available as above.

I’m having issues with my video or audio feed. What can I do?

During the game, please report your technical issues to [email protected] who can investigate whether there is a problem with the broadcast.

If there are no issues at the broadcast end, we will need to complete troubleshooting steps, these may involve confirming details about the device, software and your internet connection.

*Please note, that it is your responsibility to ensure you are using compatible technology ahead of purchasing a live subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds can only be issued for those who have reported a technical issue DURING THE GAME and it proves to be a fault of our providers and cannot be rectified.

Please note, that if you do not watch a stream through choice, or don’t report a technical issue to customer service during the game, we will not be able to issue a refund.

Refunds will not be issued for supporters attempting to access via a VPN or using a smartphone or tablet browser.

Can I get an illegal feed?

All feeds of the game are monitored by the club and the EFL. The EFL has a strict monitoring policy in operation and will prosecute individuals who illegally stream live games. We would ask anyone who observes these feeds to anonymously inform us via [email protected]

My feed keeps buffering. What’s wrong?

Is your connection fast enough? Try to stop all current downloads, videos you are watching or torrents and visit http://www.speedtest.net. Test your download speed. Results should show a minimum of at least 2Mbps to process streamed content along with usual browsing activities efficiently.
