/media/183590/gettyimages-1250687461.jpg

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth can now provide a list of FAQs for the club’s streaming service, afcbTV Live, ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The club have scoured social media and other sources to compile this list of FAQs about the streaming service and would encourage supporters to look at this list before purchasing and if you experience any issues.

For any supporters who have any customer service based questions, please email [email protected] directly - this customer service is provided by our providers.

What games can I watch this season?

In line with supporters’ return to stadia and EFL regulations, eligibility groups for live video streaming have changed.

Non-televised Saturday 3pm KOs – Outside UK and Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man only

Non-televised midweek games – Worldwide

Televised games – Only available to supporters in dark market countries.

Audio Commentary – Available worldwide

If there is not a pay-per-view match pass available in your territory for the game you want to watch, then it is not available.

Additionally there is no season card holder access to streaming.

What are the dark markets?

The following countries don't have an EFL broadcast agreement and can access televised matches on afcbTV Live.

Albania, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Timor-Leste, Japan, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Belize, Bermuda, Virgin Islands, British, Cuba, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Samoa, Cook Islands, Micronesia, Fiji Islands, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.

I receive an ‘unauthorised country’ message when trying to access the live video.

Games are available in line with the geo-restrictions above. If you receive this message, the game is not available in your country or territory.

If you’re outside the UK on holiday and trying to access the stream via mobile data (3G/4G/5G), your IP address is still registered as being in the UK despite roaming due to the way roaming mobile service works. Connecting to a local WiFi network should solve this.

I’m a season ticket holder – where’s my code?

In line with supporters’ return to stadia and EFL regulations, season ticket holders are no longer entitled to streams. Clubs will advise directly if this situation changes. Season ticket holder codes, even if still active on your account from last season, will not work.

Can I watch the game on my Smart TV, or cast to my connected devices?

Casting is prohibited by EFL regulations. Smart TV browsers are not supported but may work.

Game consoles/Amazon Firesticks or other third party devices also are not supported. We are not held responsible if you experience issues with the streams on unsupported devices even if they have worked previously.

What devices/browsers can I watch on?

Laptop/desktop – Windows 8.1/10 and recent versions of Mac OS.

Mobile – Most modern iOS and Android devices running the latest versions of their respective operating systems.

Browsers – Latest versions of Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Safari. Other browsers such as Internet Explorer/Opera are not supported.

I’m stuck in a login loop, or when I click play, the website does nothing

Please ensure that your web browser cookies are set to  'allowed' in your privacy and security settings. If you fail to do this, it may mean that you are unable to log-in and access the stream.

Safari Users – Versions of Safari from 13.1 onwards have cross-domain tracking disabled – this must be enabled for the login system to work. If this is not enabled you may get stuck in a login loop.

Instructions on how to do this are here.

I can’t login or have forgotten my password.

If you can’t log in, please try another browser or clear your cache/cookies and try again. Also, please note the ‘I’m stuck in a login loop’ section above. If you have forgotten your password, go the login screen on the club website and follow the instructions to reset your password.

If you are receiving a ‘Blocked Account’ message, this can be solved by resetting your password.

My feed is buffering.

Please check your connection speed – a minimum of 4mb/s bandwidth is required to view. SpeedTest is a handy tool for this. Also, be aware of the usage of devices on your network. If other people on your network are streaming/gaming, this may affect the amount of bandwidth available to you. An attempt to use a VPN can also cause buffering – VPNs are prohibited and if detected your access to the stream will be revoked and no refund given.

I want to cancel my monthly/annual recurring subscription.

Go the My Account section on the club website when logged in, or alternatively reply to this email and we can process your cancellation. Please note we require 3 working days’ notice to process requests, or you may be charged.

I have purchased my streaming pass but I'm not getting the WATCH NOW button?

Firstly, if you have purchased your stream once, DO NOT purchase again. You need to be logged in to your account to get access to the matches you have purchased - you DO NOT receive a code.

On matchday, when you want to watch the stream, follow these simple steps:

FOR LAPTOP / PC

  1. Head to live.afcb.co.uk
  2. Click the ‘head and shoulders icon’ in the top right-hand corner
  3. Login with the same details you purchased the stream with
  4. This will then take you back to the home page where you can click WATCH NOW. This will appear from 2pm on matchday.

FOR MOBILE

  1. Head to live.afcb.co.uk
  2. Click the three dashes in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Scroll down to ‘login/register’
  4. Click that, and then enter the same details you registered with.
  5. This will then take you back to the home page where you can click WATCH NOW. This will appear from 2pm on matchday.

Be careful in typing your email address, please make sure it is correct without any typos before purchasing.

If you are not logged in, you won't see the watch now button. Please make sure to log in.

What sort of stream will I be receiving?

Supporters will be receiving a four-camera feed, edited together with live scoreline and minutes graphics, as well as commercial graphics for club and EFL sponsors.

The stream will be HD quality on all devices depending on your internet speed/connection with BBC Radio Solent commentary synced to the footage.

If there is no Solent commentary on the stream, then our supplier will not refund on this basis if the picture is uninterrupted, as mentioned in our terms and conditions.

If I purchase any of the monthly subscriptions, does this automatically renew?

Yes. If you do not want this to automatically renew or only want this for one month, you MUST cancel your subscription manually by clicking ‘my account.’

What happens once I have purchased my stream?

Once you have purchased, head back to the live.afcb.co.uk home page, there will be a WATCH NOW button. Click that button on matchday. You DO NOT receive a code to redeem on purchase, it is on your account.

What time will the streams start?

They will begin 60 minutes before kick-off.

Do I have to watch the stream on the device I paid on?

When you purchase your pass you will have created an account. You will have access to this on all devices, note you will be only able to log in on one device at a time.

How many games do international supporters get for the yearly subscription price?

The club cannot guarantee an exact number due to broadcast selections and broadcaster rights. The club has however been informed by the EFL that this will be approximately 37 games – but please do not use this as an exact total.

Can I watch the games on demand after they’ve finished?

Unfortunately, this service is not available on afcbTV Live. The club will be providing plenty of match content for free on afcbTV after each game.

Why are the club charging for live commentary this season?

EFL rules.

I’m having issues with my video or audio feed. What can I do?

During the game, please report your technical issues to [email protected] who can investigate whether there is a problem with the broadcast.

If there are no issues at the broadcast end, we will need to complete troubleshooting steps, these may involve confirming details about the device, software and your internet connection.

*Please note, that it is your responsibility to ensure you are using compatible technology ahead of purchasing a live subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds can only be issued for those who have reported a technical issue DURING THE GAME and it proves to be a fault of our providers and cannot be rectified.

Please note, that if you do not watch a stream through choice, or don’t report a technical issue to customer service during the game, we will not be able to issue a refund.

Refunds will not be issued for supporters attempting to access via a VPN or using a smartphone or tablet browser.

Can I get an illegal feed?

All feeds of the game are monitored by the club and the EFL. The EFL has a strict monitoring policy in operation and will prosecute individuals who illegally stream live games. We would ask anyone who observes these feeds to anonymously inform us via [email protected].

My feed keeps buffering. What’s wrong?

Is your connection fast enough? Try to stop all current downloads, videos you are watching or torrents and visit http://www.speedtest.net. Test your download speed. Results should show a minimum of at least 2Mbps to process streamed content along with usual browsing activities efficiently.

I've forgotten my username/password…

If you've forgotten your username and/or password then please click on the relevant links on the login screen.

If you have any further queries, please contact customer services at [email protected] and you will receive an email with your Username / Password reminder.

Dependant on the service you may need to supply SSO support here*

We'd also urge supporters to read the terms of use for afcbTV Live, this appears when you go to make your payment for a match package.
