Another week of fantasy football has passed by and, with many of the big hitters struggling in gameweek eight, an average points score of just 41 was the outcome.

However, in the AFC Bournemouth fan league, there were several Cherries who recorded high scores after making wise captain choices and taking advantage of the 16 teams who netted over the course of the weekend.

George Ayles remains at the top of the fan league, picking up 53 points this week. Lukas Fabianski’s clean sheet, combined with Raheem Sterling’s 15 points and Pascal Groß’s six, see his ovrall total accumulate to 542.

Nevertheless, John Phillips is hot on his toes, having picked up an excellent 61 points this week. He sits just two points behind George, thanks to Tammy Abraham’s double earning 13 points and both David Silva and Phil Jones gaining seven.

It was also a good week for Aseel Faroun, who was the highest points scorer in the AFC Bournemouth fan league. Joe Hart’s assist for West Ham saw him pick up nine points, whilst Federico Fernandez’s clean sheet for Swansea also aided Aseel’s side.

Gabriel Jesus as captain added 39 points, whilst an assist from Tom Carroll also contributed to Aseel’ weekly total of 98.

Out of the Cherries players, it’s Lewis Cook who remains on top spot having gained 50 points this week. Kevin De Bruyne’s nine points, combined with Abraham’s 13, ensured that the midfielder’s total of 476 wasn’t beaten.

However, this week alone, Emerson Hyndman finished on the highest points out of the squad and moved up to fifth in the players’ league. David de Gea and Kieran Trippier both kept clean sheets for his side, whilst Abrahams and Silva were excellent choices once again.
