Fantasy football users enjoyed a high-scoring week as round five came to its conclusion yesterday afternoon.

An average of 58 points was scored across the board, with nine of the 20 Premier League sides keeping clean sheets over the weekend.

And with the Cherries recording their first league win of the season on Friday, those in the AFC Bournemouth fan league certainly enjoyed high totals, after Andrew Surman gained ten points and Jermain Defoe and Jordon Ibe both recorded seven.

Audun Rensel tops the Cherries fan league, having accumulated 94 points.

Sergio Aguero as captain proved to be a wise decision, with the Argentine picking up almost half of Audun’s total with 40 points, whilst David Silva’s two assists saw a further 11 added to his score.

Jonathan McCarthy climbed up to second place in the AFC Bournemouth fan league and sits just one point behind Audun on 344.

Clean sheets for David De Gea, Sead Kolasinac, Maya Yoshida and Ahmed Hegazi certainly helped Jonathan’s weekly total of 97, whilst Romelu Lukaku as captain meant that a further 24 points aided that tally.

Out of the Cherries squad, Lewis Cook extended his lead at the top of the players’ league, after accumulating 79 points.

Kyle Walker and Mohammed Salah notched up ten points each, whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal from midfield aided Cook’s score further.

Nathan Ake climbed up to second place, with the likes of Silva and Kevin De Bruyne coming up trumps as City knocked six past Watford.
