AFC Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe took time away from training on Friday to collect his OBE from Buckingham Palace.
Defoe was awarded with his OBE by Charles, Prince of Wales after it was announced that the Cherries man was to be recognised in June in the Queen's birthday honours list.
The striker was given the award in recognition of the work done by his charity the Jermain Defoe Foundation, and after the announcement dedicated to the honour to Bradley Lowery, who died in 2017 after suffering from a rare form of cancer.
